The combination of CNC machining, heat treatment, grinding and precision lapping helps us control the dimensions, hardness, flatness and surface condition of the metal seal rings.

For OEM customers, production can begin with a drawing, physical sample, dimensional data or OEM part number. Trial production can be arranged before a project moves into repeat or large-volume manufacturing.

Materials Selected for the Working Conditions

Metal seal rings are manufactured from high-chromium alloy cast iron, with a specified hardness range of 60–72 HRC. This material is selected for mechanical face seals that must withstand wear, impact and exposure to abrasive contaminants.

Available elastomer materials include:

• ◆  NBR: a practical option for general oil-resistant sealing applications

• ◆  HNBR: suitable when improved temperature and environmental resistance are required

• ◆  VMQ/Silicone: considered for wider temperature ranges

• ◆  FPM/FKM: selected for higher-temperature and chemical-resistance requirements

Quality Control from Incoming Material to Final Packaging

ZHONO applies quality controls throughout the manufacturing process rather than relying only on a final visual inspection.

Our standard quality-control workflow includes:

Incoming material inspection → machining inspection → heat treatment → grinding and lapping inspection → assembly → final inspection → performance testing → packaging
